GOAL College has a Dream Team of teachers, support and administration staff who work tirelessly to make school a fun, safe and inclusive place for our students to learn. This work allows our students to be the best versions of themselves, and to thrive in the final years of school and beyond.
We are so proud that the hard work and dedication of our staff, and our school has been recognised through numerous awards, publicity and acknowledgements. A selection of our outstanding achievements are below.
Teacher Magazine - Improving Health And Wellbeing Award, 2023
GOAL College’s Principal, Kate O’Donnell, was awarded the first ever Improving Health and Wellbeing Award as part of Teacher Magazine’s inaugural Teacher Awards. This award recognised that Kate and the school’s Dream Team of teachers, support and counselling staff put student wellbeing at the centre of everything they do. Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER) NSW PDHPE School Award - 2022
GOAL College was awarded ACHPER’S NSW PDHPE Award in 2022, an award that recognises high-quality health and physical education. Our Dream Team of teachers were nominated for this award for their dedication to delivering high quality and impactful education to our students.
Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER) NSW PDHPE Teacher Award - HIGHLY COMMENDED, 2021
Steve Paterson is one of our amazing teachers, and in 2021 he received a Highly Commended award in the ACHPER PDHPE Teacher Awards (Secondary Teacher Category). This award is a reflection of Steve’s commitment to his students and his role as an integral part of the GOAL College community.
The Dr. Alan Laughlin Award, 2017
The Dr. Alan Laughlin Award for Leadership is awarded to outstanding educators who display quality leadership and/or positively contribute to improving the quality of teaching at their educational institution. In 2017, this award was presented to our Principal, Kate O’Donnell for the work she does at the school to promote leadership and quality teaching.
