Scholarships & Bursaries

GOAL College has an ongoing commitment to supporting promising young people and is fortunate to be able to offer a limited number of bursaries for entry into Year 11.

Our bursaries are funded by the school and a small group of dedicated and generous private donors. They are not linked to any particular stream or sport, and our Teammates have no role in selecting bursary recipients.

The University of Sydney Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship

GOAL College Merit Scholarships support outstanding all-rounders.

Exciting news! GOAL College is thrilled to announce that The University of Sydney has generously provided funding to support several Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who have enrolled in the College in 2024.

About the Scholarship

The University of Sydney Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship covers all standard tuition fees payable towards enrolling at GOAL College for these students, as well as making a contribution towards fees for participation in high-level sporting competitions.

The University of Sydney is also committed to providing these scholarship students with access to University programs and support while they study at GOAL, including:

  • Support with admissions pathways
  • Support with early offer schemes
  • Support with scholarship opportunities
  • Access to the University’s Gadalung suite of residential programs

Additionally, the University’s Gadigal Centre will work to identify additional opportunities that may be of interest to scholarship students, including the Extended Bachelor Program and invitations to other on-campus activities.

Mega Clinic

Scholarship students will also play a key role in planning and organising the College’s NAIDOC ‘Mega Clinic’. With The University of Sydney as the major sponsor, the NAIDOC ‘Mega Clinic’ promises a lively day where hundreds of primary school students from the local area come together to learn and enjoy traditional Indigenous games.

These Awards provide full bursaries for a limited number of students to study with us, and cover all standard tuition fees payable towards a student’s enrolment. Successful applicants will receive the bursary for both Year 11 and Year 12.

More information is available in the GOAL College Kickstart Award Information Sheet.

Eligibility

This Award supports the following students:

  • Students from any background who are economically disadvantaged.

Successful applicants will be young people who have a strong desire to complete Year 12, make a positive contribution to the College and act as an ambassador on behalf of the College to the wider community.

Application Process

To apply, please follow the instructions in the application form.

Unfortunately, we are unable to consider applications received after the closing date.

Unsuccessful Applicants

We are committed to ensuring that the affordability of tuition fees is not a barrier to a great education.
